The lighthouse Lindesnes Fyr

A museum & tourist destination - an experience in itself, whether in rough or relaxing weather.

The lighthouse is a 10 minute drive from the hotel, and is one of the most popular attractions in the area. Norway’s most southern point is a fascinating place no matter what the weather, but we venture to say that it may be at it´s finest when there is a storm raging. The lighthouse was the first lighthouse to be built in Norway, and was first lit in 1656.
One of the best times to visit the lighthouse is after dark - there is something magical about standing underneath the lighthouse while its beams of light stretch out over the open sea.
