At Havhotellet, we take great pleasure in living at the heart of nature's pantry, and our menu is inspired by local flavors, ingredients, and stories. Nowhere else will you find a greater diversity in both the green and blue landscapes than right here where we live.

The area around us has a rich culinary culture and history, which we learn from and draw inspiration from. Head Chef Bernt Sætre and his team love to explore the possibilities offered by the ingredients found right outside our kitchen door.

Restaurant Opening Hours

Our à la carte restaurant is open for lunch and dinner from Monday to Saturday (unfortunately, the restaurant is closed on Sundays outside of the summer season). The lobby and bar area are open whenever the hotel is open. The Laboratory is open by appointment.

Our À La Carte Restaurant

Our à la carte menu follows the seasonal changes here at the Southernmost part of Norway. You can always enjoy the catch of the day from the nearby fish market on the pier, or a taste of the green nature that surrounds us. The food is always served with a smile. We serve lunch from 13:00 and dinner from 16:00.

The Laboratory

A dining experience that focuses on close interaction with the chefs, the ingredients, and the stories behind each dish. We love sharing the stories of the food we create, and now we finally have a space designed specifically for this! The open kitchen and the surrounding area are made for knowledge sharing, inspiration, and playful experimentation with ingredients. Open by appointment. Lobby and Bar Area

Our cozy lobby and bar area is the first thing you'll see when you arrive at Havhotellet. Here, you're invited to sit down and enjoy a good drink, a glass of champagne, or a beer.
